Reception Teaching Assistant (Part-Time, SEND) - North Tyneside

Hours: Monday to Friday | 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Are you a compassionate and dedicated professional who loves supporting young learners? We're seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a friendly mainstream primary school in North Tyneside. This part-time role focuses on 1:1 and small-group support for Reception pupils, helping children with additional needs develop confidence, communication, and early learning skills.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for Reception children with SEND

Assist teachers in delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning activities

Encourage independence, communication, and social development

Support positive behaviour management in a nurturing way

Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting young children, ideally in Reception, with SEND

Passion for helping early years pupils achieve their potential

Strong communication and teamwork skills
