I am recruiting for a Trainee Advisor role in Northampton. This is a full-time, on-site position with a clear progression path to becoming a fully qualified Advisor within 18 to 24 months.

The Opportunity

Starting salary is £24,000–£26,000 plus excellent benefits, with structured increases as you pass industry exams. Full funding for your training and qualifications is provided. Once you have mastered the core technical skills, you will be given your own client base to manage.

The Role

You will join a growing team to provide technical support across corporate benefits, including Group Life, Workplace Pensions, and report writing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting Advisors with administration for employer meetings and presentations.
• Conducting research and writing technical reports.
• Liaising with providers to negotiate terms and manage renewal timelines.
• Assisting with auto-enrolment reviews and compliance.
• Acting as a point of contact for clients, providers, and employees.

Requirements

The ideal person will have at least two years of experience in an IFA, Wealth Management, or Employee Benefits environment. You should have a basic knowledge of financial services, strong communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail (GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/5 or above is essential).

After your probation period, there is potential for occasional home working, subject to business needs.
