Job Type: Contract

Salary: £22000 - £24000 / annually

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident and proactive Account Manager to join a large organisation who invest in their employees and offer an excellent range of benefits. The role will involve maximising opportunities by developing relationships, understanding their requirements, and providing an outstanding service. The successful candidate will have a persuasive nature and be comfortable negotiating and upselling a range of products to increase business and revenue.  


  • Achieve and exceed sales targets & KPI's
  • Keep in regular contact with customers through proactive calling
  • Sell and upsell the full product range
  • Increase customers spending frequency
  • Increase the number of trading accounts
  • Work jointly with External Account Manager and the National Specification/Installer Manager
  • Managing a portfolio of clients
  • Ensuring the database is regularly updated
  • Follow up leads promptly and identify opportunities and leads to pass on to External Account Manager
  • Process customer quotes effectively and efficiently
  • Manage customer queries
  • Produce monthly sales and pipeline reports
  • Assist with customer orders and deliveries

Previous Experience and Competencies:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Proactive telephone sales experience (Internal sales or internal Account Management)
  • Experience working to individual targets and managing own customer base
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages (CRM database, Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience using SAP would be an advantage
  • Understanding of environmental and renewable energy an advantage
  • Experience and knowledge of the construction or heating industry
  • Business development/sales experience
  • Good listening and questioning abilities
