The Job - Shunter Driver Class 1 (Cat C+E, HGV1, LGV1)

• Operate Class 1 vehicles to safely move trailers within yard and depot environments
• Complete basic vehicle checks and ensure all safety standards are maintained
• Communicate with transport teams to coordinate trailer movements efficiently
• Follow all site health and safety rules, including proper use of PPE and yard procedures
• Keep accurate records of completed moves and report any vehicle defects promptly

Skills and Experience Required - Shunter Driver Class 1 (Cat C+E, HGV1, LGV1)

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Previous shunting or yard driving experience essential
• Ability to work days, nights, and weekends on a rotating or fixed pattern
• Must hold a valid DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
