Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a recent graduate or current university student looking to kickstart your career in education? Monarch Education is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join us in Graduate Teaching Assistant and Learning Mentor roles in schools across the Peterborough area.

As a graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with the classroom teachers to support student learning and development. From one-on-one assistance to small group activities, you'll play a vital role in creating engaging learning experiences for students. No prior experience in schools is required - just a passion for working with young people and a willingness to learn.

Requirements of the candidate:

• Experience working with young people
• A strong team player, with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, who is able to support and inspire children to learn
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous experience working collaboratively in a dynamic and supportive environment
• The ability to flexibly manage changing workload
• The eagerness to learn and embrace fresh challenges

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the classroom teacher
• Monitoring pupil progress
• Working with students 1to1 or in small groups
• Behaviour Management
• Working closely with and teaching staff and members of the school community
