Computer Science Teacher (with KS3 Maths) - April Start

Location: Hemel Hempstead Contract Type: Full-Time, TemporaryResponsibilities: Full Teaching Responsibilities

A well-regarded secondary school in the Hemel Hempstead area is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join their team from after Easter for the rest of the academic year. This is a full-time role requiring full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessment, and participation in the wider school community.

The successful candidate will primarily teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, while also delivering Maths lessons up to KS3. You will join a supportive department with strong leadership and a collaborative ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Computer Science lessons
• Teach Maths up to Key Stage 3
• Plan, prepare, and assess students' work in line with school policies
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes progress and achievement
• Participate in meetings, duties, and wider school responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science
• Ability to teach Maths confidently to KS3
• Strong classroom management skills
• A proactive and professional approach
