We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary SEN school in Rochdale, supporting students with ASC and a range of additional learning needs. The school provides a calm, inclusive, and structured environment where every child is encouraged to thrive both academically and personally.

Your Role:

Support students with ASC in and out of the classroom to access learning and social activities

Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

Promote communication, independence, and confidence among pupils

Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to provide consistent support

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience supporting young people with ASC or additional learning needs

A calm, patient, and understanding nature

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for inclusive education

(Desirable) A relevant TA qualification or experience in a SEN setting
