About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a passionate, dedicated and inspirational full-time Food & Nutrition and Design Technology Teacher, starting September 2025, to join our vibrant and growing Design Faculty on a permanent basis. While a Food specialist is preferable, we are open to other DT specialisms for the right candidate. You will be expected to teach across the full range of Design & Technology subjects at KS3, and contribute to GCSE teaching at KS4. You will play a key role in fostering a love of learning and practical skill development in our students.

  • Pay Rate: £31650 - £49084 per annum

Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A strong subject knowledge in Food & Nutrition (or other DT specialism)
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Food & Nutrition and Design Technology
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE groups
  • Plan, prepare and assess student work to a high standard
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and development
  • Engage and motivate students to achieve their potential
  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to the wider life of the Design faculty and school
