Job Title: SEND / Learning Support Assistant

Location: Loughton

Salary: £15 per hour

Contract: Temporary, start ASAP

Hours: Usually 8:45am - 5:00pm, some days 8:45am - 3:30pm depending on the department

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated SEND / Learning Support Assistant to join our team supporting learners in a college environment. Some personal care may be required, and candidates should be confident supporting students with challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and group support for learners with SEND

*

Assist with personal care where needed

*

Support learners in accessing learning activities and staying engaged

*

Implement behaviour management strategies as required

*

Work collaboratively with teaching staff to monitor progress and report concerns

*

Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

*

Must have a valid enhanced DBS

*

Previous experience in an educational setting (LSA, classroom support, or similar)

*

Experience supporting learners with challenging behaviour

*

Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

*

Reliable and flexible with working hours
