A fantastic opportunity became available for an enthusiastic Senior Buyer to join our clients Procurement team to grow with the business and become part of a team supporting global institutions.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be an integral part of this busy and vibrant department. Joining a company that is undergoing a period of natural growth and change, with the benefit of a solid history of success, gives fantastic opportunities for progression.

As the Senior Buyer, you will be:

* Be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the company

* Managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of products

* Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

* Contributing to the development of the procurement strategy

* Mentoring other team members

* Collaborate with various departments to support company objectives

* Managing the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order issuance and delivery

* Monitoring inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts

* Analysing trends

As the Senior Buyer, you will have:

* Understanding of Sustainable Procurement and Supply Chain processes

* A positive outlook and sustainably conscious

* Experience within a purchasing role

* CIPS or a degree in a relatable field

* Strong negotiation and contract management skills

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

* Proficiency in procurement software and ERP/MRP systems

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
