Full job description

Are you an organised and detail-oriented HR professional with a passion for payroll and people processes? Join the Scolmore Group as our new HR & Payroll Administrator and play a key role in supporting our growing organisation.

As HR & Payroll Administrator, you'll support the smooth running of our payroll administration for our external payroll provider. You will also support with HR administration across the Scolmore Group. From onboarding new starters to managing employee benefits and supporting payroll processing, you'll be a vital part of our HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Administration

* Maintain accurate electronic personnel records (holidays, absences, starters/leavers)

* Support onboarding: contracts, offer letters, right-to-work checks

* Coordinate induction logistics with internal departments

* Manage annual appraisals and probation reviews

* Administer employee benefits (Paycare, BUPA) and leaver processes

* Ensure GDPR compliance in document retention

Payroll

* Prepare and verify monthly payroll data

* Monitor Time & Attendance records

* Liaise with payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate submissions

Sickness Administration

* Track sickness notifications and documentation

* Assess paid/unpaid absences for payroll

* Support attendance management processes and documentation What We're Looking For

* Experience in HR administration and payroll coordination

* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

* Proficiency with HR systems (e.g., PeopleHR) is a plus

* A proactive, team-oriented approach

Experience and Skills needed for the role:

You will have previous experience in HR Administration and experience of supporting payroll would be an advantage. You will also have experience in HR Information Systems, have excellent organisational skills and have a desire to continuously improve and streamline processes where possible.
