Tripod Partners are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to support a busy housing team delivering responsive repairs, void inspections, and capital works. The successful candidate will carry out inspections, contract management, and ensure compliance across council-owned housing stock.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct void and tenanted property inspections, preparing schedules of work.

Oversee building contracts from specification to completion, including contract administration.

*

Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.

*

Carry out feasibility studies, stock condition surveys, and draft technical documentation.

*

Respond to tenant queries and complaints, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

*

Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, building regulations, CDM and health & safety.

*

Support delivery of reactive maintenance, planned works, and estate management projects.

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire (on-site, 5 days per week)
Pay Rate: £35 per hour
Contract: 3 months
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Requirements:

*

HNC or equivalent qualification in Building Construction or related field (or extensive experience in a similar role).

*

Minimum 3 years' experience in a surveying environment.

*

Strong knowledge of building regulations, repairs, maintenance, and contract management.

*

Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD and HHSRS desirable.

*

Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

*

Full UK driving licence and daily access to a vehicle
