• Pay Rate: £168 - £232 per day (Paid to main scale)

We are looking for an engaging English Teacher to join an excellent team in Blackburn for short-term cover. Teaching at the secondary school will commence in September at the beginning of the school year until December (opportunity for extension). This role is ideal for someone who has experience in secondary education as an English literature and language teacher. You will be committed to helping students achieve their full potential. 

• Deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons to secondary school students.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and structured assignments.
• Evaluate and assess students' progress through both formative and summative assessments.
• Adapt teaching methods to cater to the varying needs of students.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in English, Literature, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.
• Strong understanding of the national curriculum for English.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.
• Willingness to attend staff meetings and parent-teacher conferences.
