Weighbridge Clerk

Our client, a supplier of construction and building materials, including asphalt, aggregates, cement and ready-mixed concrete products now seeks to appoint a Weighbridge Clerk to be based at either of its sites near Royal Quays, North Shields or Port of Sunderland.

As Weighbridge Clerk, you will:

* Operate the weighbridge to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles

* Ensure accurate recording of vehicle weights before and after loading/unloading

* Monitor tare (empty) and gross (loaded) weights to determine the net weight of materials

* Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all weighing transactions on the company's bespoke computer system

* Control traffic flow within the weighbridge area, liaising with drivers, site operatives, and office staff

* Pass instructions to drivers regarding their next load and its chosen destination

* Issue customer tickets, check weights and process payments

As Weighbridge Clerk, you will need:

* Good IT skills and accuracy in record keeping

* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Experience working in an industrial environment would be advantageous

* A willingness to work 5.30am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday

Salary & Benefits:

* £27,500 to £31,000 pa
