Heritage Site Manager - Residential Developer (PAYE)

We are working with a leading London residential developer who require a Site Manager with Heritage/Listed Building experience to manage the internal fit out of a museum project. This role is expected to be a temporary assignment to last around 3 months.

The ideal candidate MUST have previous experience working on the internal fit out / refurbishment of a heritage site and/or listed buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the full internal delivery process - including drylining, joinery, MEP installations, and finishing trades - ensuring seamless progress from programme through to completion.
  • Programme Management: Create, manage, and drive project programmes, addressing challenges proactively and keeping works on track.
  • Team & Subcontractor Management: Lead, coordinate, and inspire subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to maintain productivity and progress.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, with regular site inspections and enforcement.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain premium standards of finish, ensuring all works align with specifications and exceed client expectations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear, professional communication with project managers, consultants, and wider stakeholders.
  • Commercial Awareness: Monitor budgets and resources, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager with a heritage/listed building experience, with a strong track record on internal works.
  • Proficiency with Fieldview and ability to write and deliver programmes.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and NVQ Level 6 (minimum).
  • Excellent technical knowledge of residential construction methods and finishing standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the drive to deliver on time and to the highest quality.
