Rooms To Go is currently seeking an Application Server Administrator within its internal application development department. The primary objective of this position is to provide technical server support, with emphasis on IIS for internal and external web sites and applications in test, release, and production environments and to provide application server administration support. The position manages, configures, secures IIS for web sites/applications/web services and monitors simple to complex multi-tiered LOB applications. Troubleshoots problems and lead resolution efforts; assists the development group with all deployment environments including development and system test environments as needed. Ensures architectural standards are adhered to and suggest process and policy improvements. This position will also be responsible for modifying and distributing applications from the UAT and production environments as needed. Candidate will be performing system maintenance, on-call during overnight server updates (Windows) and tuning including operating system and application patches. Support and implement disaster recovery plans for critical applications, maintain detailed server component inventory and adhere to Configuration Management processes.
Extensive experience with Internet Information Services (IIS) administration. Experience with Windows 2012R2 and IIS 7.5/8.0; Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing web site security and access rights management. Experience with SFTP, SSL, and security certificate management. Knowledge of and experience in security infrastructures as it relates to authentication and authorization. Considerable experience in system administration functions including monitoring, maintenance, auditing, tuning, and configuration documentation. A thorough understanding of enterprise technologies including web technologies, multi-tiered systems, multi-user and multi-tasking operating systems is required. Excellent verbal and writing skills, the ability to develop and present complex material effectively to a variety of audiences is required.
