Supply Desk are pleased to be working with a well-established and friendly two-form entry primary school in Maidstone, Kent. This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school are currently seeking a reliable and engaging Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis for the remainder of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring teacher, an experienced HLTA, or a teaching assistant looking to step up into a classroom leadership role. The successful candidate will be confident in delivering pre-planned lessons and managing whole classes across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, particularly during teacher absences and training days.

About the Role:

Lead whole-class teaching across the primary age range during teacher absences or scheduled cover
Work across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2
Deliver pre-prepared lessons and maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment
Provide support for pupils with SEND where required
Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure continuity in learning and uphold high standards
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be a qualified HLTA, experienced teaching assistant, or aspiring teacher with a strong understanding of primary education
Have experience leading whole classes confidently and managing behaviour effectively
Be adaptable, organised, and enthusiastic
Demonstrate a commitment to supporting all learners, including those with additional needs
Hold a valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
Be able to provide two professional references
