A leading housing association are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Property Surveyor to join their Responsive Repairs Team. In this role you will get the opportunity to provide guidance as required including use of SOR, PPP inclusions and exclusions and technical diagnosis.  This includes providing a high level of customer service to residents, ensuring a consistent approach across your team and assist with the development and implementation of our customer experience strategy.    

This is a permanent position we are able to offer hybrid working (2 days per week in the office). 

As the Senior Property Surveyor you will play a key role in our dynamic Property Directorate. You will get the opportunity to take ownership of a small team of surveyors and provide advice and support on challenging repairs, structural issues, and major defects—delivering real results for our residents while balancing quality, compliance, and value for money.

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the investigation and resolution of non-routine repairs, damp and mould issues, and ad hoc planned replacements. You’ll bring a proactive and resident-focused mindset, working collaboratively across departments to ensure every home is safe, secure, and well-maintained.

Your Role:

As a Senior Surveyor, you will:

  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to the Responsive Repairs Team.
  • Ensure repairs are diagnosed and delivered to a high standard, within agreed timescales.
  • Monitor team productivity, outputs, and ensure compliance with repair responsibility guidelines.
  • Deliver monthly performance reports to the Regional Property Manager.
  • Support the resolution of complex building issues, disrepair cases, and contractor relationships.
  • Lead by example in customer service, using feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaborative – able to build effective relationships with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Organised and adaptable – capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
  • RICS qualified or working towards qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in responsive repairs, contractor management, and budget control.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
