Position : Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Location : West Yorkshire, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax, Castleford, Barnsley, Doncaster

Salary : £45,000 - £57,000 according to experience

Hybrid : No, this is an office based role

Visa : We cannot offer sponsorship or visa support. You MUST already have the right to live and work in the UK

Experience level : Professional experience is essential. We cannot consider people straight out of academia

Products : Special purpose machinery

Software : Autodesk Inventor preferred, Solidworks also acceptable

Requirements :

Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Aided Design or very similar to at least HNC Level
Proven experience of the design and development of special purpose machinery
FEA abilities preferred
Pneumatic or hydraulic understanding beneficial
Experience of documenting system specifications
Able to carry out risk assessments on designs
Design for manufacture
FMEA understanding
Any understanding of control systems would be beneficial but is not essential
Experience of FAT and SAT to proof designs
