Marketing Assistant

Our global client based in Milton Keynes is recruiting a Marketing Assistant to join their busy team. This is a rare and exciting opportunity in the Ruminants Business Unit of their Animal Health division.

The contract has initially been signed off until end of November 2019 with a possible extension. The hourly rate for this assignment is £14.00 - £23.80 depending on experience, plus holiday pay and other benefits.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for supporting a marketing team of 4 plus the wider business unit operations to successfully implement marketing and operations strategy. Our mission in the Ruminants Business Unit is to deliver preventative health solutions to farmers via vets, trade and other stakeholders to improve animal health and welfare.

We're looking for an organising team player to support the department (Marketing, Sales, Technical and Market Access) in order that we successfully execute our marketing, sales and technical operations. With your creative flair you will support the Marketing Managers in design and implementation of effective marketing campaigns and participate in the development of marketing related projects bringing innovation and contributing to strategy development.

Comfortable with working to deadlines, you will lead the department events calendar and coordinate both internal and external meetings and events. As someone who recognises the importance of data and analysis, you will be the main point of contact for the active collection of market intelligence, highlighting important market trends to the Marketing Managers and wider business.

With a keen eye for detail it will be your responsibility to lead procurement activity and administration in order to remain within marketing and operational budgets and ensure timely payments and good value for money for the company. You will act as the compliance champion ensuring business guidelines are understood and adhered to across the Business Unit.

Knowledge:

* Understanding of the basic marketing concepts and theory

* Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

* Wide ranging and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Competent use of Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint to present data to a high standard

* Understanding of the animal health and/or livestock agriculture environment - preferred
