The Opportunity:

An outstanding primary school in Birmingham is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team in September 2025. The successful candidate will be a key player in delivering high-quality lessons, fostering a growth mindset, and ensuring students are well-prepared for their SATs and beyond. Key Responsibilities:

Plan, teach, and deliver engaging lessons for Year 6 pupils, ensuring a focus on both academic achievement and personal development, in line with the National Curriculum.

Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly to meet the diverse needs of learners.

*

Prepare and guide students for SATs, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet their potential.

*

Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages a growth mindset, curiosity, and independence.

*

Collaborate with colleagues, subject leaders, and school leadership to ensure high standards across the school, contributing to school improvement initiatives.

*

Maintain effective communication with parents and carers, keeping them informed about student progress, and working in partnership to support students' learning and development.

*

Actively participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities to further enhance teaching practice and contribute to the wider school community.

Person Specification:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

*

Extensive knowledge and experience of the Year 6 curriculum and preparing pupils for SATs.

*

Proven ability to assess and track pupil progress, using data to inform planning and intervention strategies.

*

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a focused, productive, and supportive learning environment.

*

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

*

A commitment to professional development and the ability to reflect on and improve teaching practice.
