School Buildings Office
Salary: £13.68 per hour
Location: DN2, Doncaster
Hours: 1:30pm-5:30pm Monday-Friday, 52 weeks a year.
Contract: Temporary with opportunity for permanent contract after 12 weeks
I am currently supporting a large primary academy school in Doncaster who are looking for a buildings officer to support their school in the afternoons. They currently have a second buildings officer working the morning shift so you would be expected to work alongside this person, maintaining strong communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key handling and security management
- Performing a variety of DIY tasks
- Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
- Coordinating with external agencies and contractors
- Understanding and managing legionella and asbestos risks
- Utilising strong IT skills for various tasks
- Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Acting with initiative to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within education
- Strong DIY skills
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
- Experience in coordinating with outside agencies and contractors
- Understanding of legionella and asbestos management
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
- COSSH understanding
- Understanding of safeguarding and keeping children safe in education
