• Fleet Vehicle Technician
• Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire
• Hours: Full-time, 07:00am – 17:00pm, shift rota basis
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Salary: c. £31,000 

A public sector organisation is seeking a skilled and proactive Fleet Vehicle Technician to join their engineering team. This is a hands-on role maintaining a varied fleet of vehicles, including electric and specialist equipment used in frontline services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair faults on internal combustion and electric vehicles
• Maintain and service specialist mobility and medical equipment
• Prepare vehicles for operational use and decommissioning
• Conduct road tests and use advanced diagnostic tools
• Support apprentices and junior team members

What You’ll Need:

• Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering or equivalent
• EV/Hybrid vehicle certification
• Full UK driving licence (C1 desirable)
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics and electrical systems
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Willingness to work flexibly across multiple sites
• F Gas – Refrigerant Handling Qualification
