The Opportunity 
We are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a well-established precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing company.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in AS9100, root cause analysis, internal audits and quality systems to play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

You will work closely with the Quality Manager, production teams, customers and suppliers to maintain high quality standards and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing (Day-to-Day) 

Investigating customer and supplier quality issues

Leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities

Conducting internal and supplier audits

Supporting customer and third-party audits

Producing ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Reports) and FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports)

Reviewing engineering drawings and customer specifications

Supporting contract reviews and customer requirements

Monitoring and reporting quality KPIs and performance metrics

Creating and updating quality procedures and documentation

Supporting internal teams with quality-related issues

Key Responsibilities 

Maintain and support the Business Management System (BMS)

Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001 and customer requirements

Support quality investigations and improvement activities

Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality matters

Provide quality guidance across production and engineering departments

Essential Experience 

Experience working as a Quality Engineer within manufacturing

Strong understanding of root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience maintaining quality systems and procedures

Strong analytical and data review skills

Desirable Experience 

Experience working with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems

Experience producing FAIR / ISIR documentation

Experience conducting internal or supplier audits

Knowledge of CMM measurement equipment

Experience with Visio or process mapping software
