Academics are working with a welcoming and dedicated specialist school in Rowde, catering to young people aged 11-18 with severe learning disabilities (SLD). They are seeking a passionate Youth Support Worker to join their team ASAP on a full-time basis. The school is committed to providing a supportive and engaging environment that helps every student reach their potential both in and outside of education.

As a Youth Support Worker, you'll work closely with teaching staff and students to provide tailored support that meets the unique learning and personal development needs of each young person.

Position: Youth Support Worker
Salary: £85-100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time (08:30-15:00, Term-time only)
Location: RowdeYou could be a Youth Support Worker if you:

Have a genuine passion for supporting young people with complex learning needs
Are patient, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situations
Have previous experience working with children and/or young people (preferred but not essential)
Hold a minimum grade C/level 4 in GCSE English and Maths
Are looking to work in a supportive, rewarding, and collaborative environmentThe day-to-day responsibilities of a Youth Support Worker will include:

Supporting students with their learning, communication, and personal development
Helping students access the curriculum in a way that suits their individual needs
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
Delivering individual or small group interventions focused on life skills and independence
Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting students with their daily routines
