The Shore Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Groundworks Division, managing contracts up to £10m. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of groundworks projects, including housing developments and local authority schemes, for a variety of main contractors - from large national names to specialist independents.

Role Overview:
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for both Quantity Surveying and Estimating duties. You'll oversee the commercial aspects of multiple projects, from initial tender through to final account, ensuring financial efficiency and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, submit, and manage tenders for groundworks packages up to £10m.

Conduct accurate cost analysis and value engineering.

*

Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and payments.

*

Monitor project costs against budgets and report variances.

*

Prepare interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.

*

Liaise with clients, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks.

*

Strong estimating skills and ability to produce accurate tenders.

*

Commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills.

*

Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.

*

Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.

*

Good IT skills, including MS Excel and estimating software
