Position: Payroll Specialist (with initial Finance Assistant responsibilities)

Location: Bolton (Hybrid)

Salary: £25 - 27k

Our client are a thriving business with a workforce of approximately 150 talented individuals, committed to delivering excellence in their industry. We are seeking an individual with a passion for payroll and finance to join our client's dedicated team.

Initially, this role will encompass a blend of finance assistant duties, supporting ongoing projects within the finance department. As the role progresses, it will transition into a full-fledged payroll position, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for our employees.

Responsibilities:

Assist in financial tasks such as accounts reconciliation, data entry, and report generation.
Collaborate with the finance team on ongoing projects, providing crucial support and insights.
Gradually take over and manage payroll operations independently, ensuring precision and compliance with regulations.
Handle payroll processing tasks including but not limited to, calculations, deductions, and reconciliations.
Maintain accurate records and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.Requirements:

Proven experience in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
Proficiency in finance-related tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and generating reports.
