Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education? Do you want to gain hands-on classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to support our primary/secondary school students and inspire the next generation of learners.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils across various subjects and age groups. You will help create a positive and engaging learning environment, working with individual students, small groups, or full classes as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons

* Provide one-to-one or small-group support to students who need additional help

* Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment

* Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and adapt learning materials accordingly

* Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and administrative tasks

* Supervise students during break times, outings, and extracurricular activities

* Foster a love of learning and encourage student participation

What We're Looking For:

* A degree in any subject (education-related is a plus but not essential)

* A strong interest in working with children or young people

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Patience, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to supporting learning

* Previous experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable

* A willingness to learn and develop within a school environment
