We are seeking an Admissions and Transition Administrator to join our client's dedicated team. This role is crucial in supporting the Admissions and Transition team with administrative tasks, coordinating events, and ensuring a smooth transition for new pupils. The successful candidate will be based in school, with potential for hybrid working during school closure periods, subject to approval.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Admissions Process:
    • Assist the Head of Admissions and the team with the admissions process, including coordinating and assisting at open events, induction mornings, and transition events.
    • Prepare and distribute information packs for new starters and their parents.
    • Manage the admissions inbox, ensuring emails are organized and directed appropriately.
    • Serve as a point of contact for prospective parents regarding admissions and transition queries.
    • Coordinate school tours for prospective pupils and professionals.
    • Maintain accurate data collection and monitoring for admissions and transition processes.
  • Transition Process:
    • Arrange and lead transition meetings with parents.
    • Maintain confidential records related to admissions and transitions, ensuring compliance with GDPR and school policies.
    • Manage uniform arrangements for new pupils and maintain uniform stock on site.
    • Facilitate a smooth transfer of documents from previous schools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Maths and English GCSE.
  • Experience: Strong administrative experience is essential. Experience in a school setting is desirable.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Excellent ICT skills, ideally with Google Workplace and school MIS systems.
    • Strong listening skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with integrity.
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively with adults and children.
    • Good understanding of admissions, EHCP, and local authority procedures is desirable.
    • Excellent understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
