About the Role

Supply Desk is recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Eastbourne. This full-time role begins ASAP and offers an excellent long-term opportunity, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will support students with a range of special educational needs, working both 1:1 and in small groups. The school promotes a nurturing and inclusive environment and seeks someone patient, proactive, and committed to helping pupils succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN

Assist the class teacher with adapted and differentiated learning

Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Support behaviour management and pupil engagement

Offer academic and emotional support tailored to individual needs

Work effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals

Requirements

Experience working with children (SEN experience desirable)

Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to build positive, supportive relationships

A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
