JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Part-Time Cleaner in Worsley, M28 - CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A BASIC DBS CHECK OR BE WILLING TO PAY FOR ONE.
Key Responsibilities- Clean production areas, walkways, storage rooms, changing rooms, offices, and welfare facilities.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; remove debris and waste.
- Clean machinery surfaces, workbenches, tools (non-technical), and surrounding areas following safety guidelines.
- Empty and sanitise bins, ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Refill consumables such as soap, paper towels, PPE stations, etc.
- Clean restrooms, kitchen areas, canteens, and other common spaces.
- Safely use cleaning machinery and chemicals according to COSHH regulations.
- Report maintenance issues, spillages, or hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Assist in deep-clean schedules, shutdown cleans, or audits when required.
- Follow all site-specific safety procedures, including PPE requirements and lock-out zones.
Essential Skills & Experience- Previous cleaning experience (commercial or industrial preferred).
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling and COSHH practices (training can be provided).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and high hygiene standards.
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks.
Desirable Skills- Experience working in factories, warehouses, or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with cleaning machinery (e.g., floor scrubbers, industrial vacuums).
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
Physical Requirements- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in warm, cold, or noisy areas depending on the production environment.
- Ability to lift moderate weights (e.g., waste bags, cleaning equipment).
Must have a basic DBS check or be willing to pay for one
The working hours are Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday - 3 hours each day - 9 hours a week
The 3 hours per day can be worked at any time from 7:30am
The Pay Rate is £12.21 per hour, increasing to £12.71 per hour from April 1st.
