Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for an Ocean Import Operator to join their office in South West London.

Job entails

* Dealing with quotes/bookings/queries on Cross trades business

* Issuing Quotations following up quotations made for Containers, Break bulk (Commodity trades, Timber FOT rates) & RORO

* Process bookings via telephone and email, from UK customers/Traders and Local Line POL agents. Confirming booking details back to the customer, informing them of special requirements or restrictions, ensuring Credit worthiness.

* Entering Bill of Lading details and adding where needed manifests details into the company's bespoke system.

* Dealing with COD, Switch Bills, Indemnities for cargo release.

* Telephone sales

* General enquiries relating to quotes/bookings/scheduling.

* Dealing with and resolving queries promptly

* Credit control

Transportation

* Processing and adding all transport data for container deliveries.

* Processing PIN and Badge releases in Destin8

Other functions

* General client liaison

* Liaising with the Port and Port offices

* General departmental clerical work.

* Any other tasks that management may deem necessary to fulfil the Job role.
