I'm supporting a leading engineering and design practice in their search for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for a chartered engineer who's passionate about sustainable, high-quality design and keen to influence major projects across a variety of sectors.

You'll take a senior role within a collaborative studio, working on a diverse workload spanning residential, education, commercial, development and regeneration schemes. You'll work closely with both private and public-sector clients, using your technical expertise and communication skills to drive high standards across every project.

As a key member of the team, you'll help lead, mentor and develop a group of value-driven engineers, while further strengthening your own leadership, commercial and project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering high-quality structural engineering design
Preparing, reviewing and signing off drawings, reports and calculations
Briefing, supporting and developing Engineers and Technicians
Attending project meetings and undertaking occasional site inspections
Participating in internal design reviews and critiques
Providing project-based training and guidance
Supporting Directors with technical and project-related tasks
Writing technical reports and specifications
Overseeing project resourcing, programming and deadline management
Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and internal quality management systemsAbout You

Chartered Structural or Civil Engineer (or equivalent)
Strong technical and design capability across a variety of building sectors
Collaborative, communicative and confident working directly with clients
Experienced in leading and developing engineering teams
Passionate about sustainable design, architecture and the wider built environment
