The Company and the Role:

We are The rpc Group of Companies, an independently owned award-winning group of niche recruitment brands based in Southampton.

We operate in 5 key sectors - Technical (Engineering, Logistics & Supply Chain, Automotive, Construction, FM, IT & Telecoms etc), Commercial, Catering & Hospitality, Foodservice and International

We are now seeking additional Freelance Recruitment Consultants. The positions are home based and ideally applicants should live in Hampshire although interest from suitable applicants living in Dorset. Wiltshire and West Sussex will be considered.

You may have been recently made redundant, furloughed or just enjoying the flexibility of working from home! Whatever your situation we would love to hear from experienced recruiters excited to take the step in to working for themselves or you maybe an experienced Director / Manager looking to enter the world of recruitment.

Whilst we are open minded as to your sector background, professionals who have a background in Logistics and Supply Chain, Automotive, Construction, FM, Engineering and Catering & Hospitality  will be of particular interest.

Key Features of the Role:

The role itself involves working on a self - employed basis managing all aspects of the recruitment process from gaining assignments through to advertising, headhunting, screening candidates to organising interviews through to facilitating job offers. This is commonly known nowadays as 360 Degree Recruiting.

Knowledge and Skills:

Successful candidates must be highly motivated, ambitious with excellent inter-personal skills and commercial awareness with the ability to maintain and develop long -term relationships with demanding blue - chip clients.

Clearly candidates with an HR / Personnel, Recruitment or Business Development background will have an advantage as will experienced Senior Managers and Directors who have operated at or near board level. Candidates who have a background in Logistics and Supply Chain, Automotive, Engineering, FM, Construction and Catering  are of particular interest.

In order to be successful in this business you will need an array of personal strengths - business development skills in a business to business environment, people assessment skills, business and commercial awareness combined with a strong work ethic, a network of contacts, high drive and energy, capable of working under own initiative, as well as having a desire to run your own business without having to take the risk, gravitas, presence and excellent communication skills.

What's on Offer?

Earnings are likely to be between £40,000 - £45,000 in the first year but considerably more in subsequent years.
