A well-established and respected Toolmaking company, specialising in both new injection mould tool manufacture and tooling repairs/modifications, is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join their multi-skilled team of CAD Designers and Toolmakers.

Up to £45,000, Days Monday - Friday

Working in a state-of-the-art toolroom, you will enjoy a varied workload - ranging from initial concept work through to tool sampling, inspection reporting, modifications, and repair projects.

As an Injection Moulding Toolmaker, your duties will include:

Manufacturing, servicing, repairing, and modifying injection mould tools
Assessing customer-supplied tooling and components, determining the most effective approach for repair or modification
Reverse-engineering and documenting components within injection mould tools, as well as parts used in mechanical and precision engineering
Liaising with the Toolroom Manager to plan and prioritise workload

To be successful in the role of Toolmaker, the ideal candidate will:

Be time-served or hold a recognised mechanical engineering qualification
Have experience repairing and maintaining injection mould tools
Be competent in the use of manual and standard toolroom equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, manual spark eroders)
Be able to read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D models
Have experience with CAD, 3D modelling, and CNC machining
