Overview

We have exciting opportunities within a Financial Accounting team to ensure completion of the Statement of Accounts and year-end close down.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the year-end close down process
• Prepare and support the completion of the Statement of Accounts (Local Authority)
• Provide hands-on technical accounting support during a busy period
• Work closely with internal finance teams to support statutory reporting deadlines

Essential Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (CIPFA preferred; CCAB also considered)
• Proven hands-on experience of local authority year-end close down
• Strong background in preparing Statement of Accounts within a local authority setting
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal handholding
• Prior Local Authority Experience 
• Recently led LA year end and production of SoA.
