We are looking for a professional and confident Unit Manager who can lead, inspire & oversee the delivery of the very best care.

You’ll be working 40 hours a week, either an early or late shift 7.45am – 5.45 pm or 10am – 8pm including working every Monday and Tuesday and one Saturday and one Sunday a monthat Broughton House.

Broughton House is a 29 bed specialist residential service for adults with severe learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

Your day-to-day is to…

• Provide the highest standard of care & be a role model to junior staff
• Ensure compliance by others of policies, procedures & regulations
• Support staff through debriefs, appraisals, training, meetings & development of evidence/ research-based practice
• Lead by example to ensure consistently high standards of clinical care & documentation
• Provide appropriate physical and emotional support to young people in residence through the work of a team of care staff within a residential environment
• To ensure that national minimum care standards are exceeded

You are…

• Committed to delivering improvement strategies across all aspects of service provision
• Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating & developing others
• Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
• Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following-up & ensuring completion of action plans
• Experienced with person centred planning with young people with learning disabilities and/or special needs.
• Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & the latest nursing practices
• Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk
• Qualified with an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification in child/adult care/support
• Required to undertake training as requested of you that is relevant to your post
• Knowledgeable of Safeguarding, CQC, Care Act and Regulations
