Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a Director of Strategic Partnerships who would be responsible for building meaningful relationships at the highest levels within the healthcare eco-system. This is a strategic, customer-facing role with significant client adoption expectations driven by value proposition and revenue generation for the organization.  Prospect and close new business in a defined business vertical, identifying new opportunities and selling across all four verticals (provider, plan, pharma, wellness). Secure MSAs with new clients negotiating, price, term, scope, etc. Coordinate all sales resource needs (technical, legal, consulting and financial) as needed to support closing deals. Support recently closed partnerships for defined period of time to complete implementation and grow revenue through additional upselling within the customer.

*This will be a remote position with options to work in the MN or CA office.

Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build and execute on active roadmap for strategic commercial partnerships in various healthcare verticals.
  • Become a key liaison for all internal and external partnerships, including product and other lines of business
  • Collaborate with the VP of Strategic Partnerships and effectively communicate and influence with the extended leadership team and cross verticals.
  • Develop and manage relationships internally as well as within your respective territory
  • Create and maintain a strategic sub-vertical category commercial and partnership plan
  • Prospect, identify, qualify, and close new partnership, sales opportunities
  • Create enterprise level proposals, contracts, and value assessments
  • Present to C-level executives and manage complex sales-cycles
  • Build account plans and strategies for each target account
  • Uncover customer needs and align to mPulse solutions
  • Creatively identify new ROI-driven use cases
  • Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue achievement through quarter business reviews and weekly forecast calls
  • Lead process for procuring outcomes across solution sets to accelerate business partnership and growth cycle
  • Create professional deliverable to mPulse executive team as we transition to a solution-based approach: Current vs. Future process of selling and deploying solutions at mPulse
  • Increase client logos and margins by deploying future process based on achieving highest operational yield (repeatable internal processes) and highest revenue yield (repeatable business opportunities)     
  • Create expected yield by solution, i.e., 'FUNNEL' slide which is often requested by prospects
  • Work with product, marketing, and client engagement teams to prepare presentations and related client facing documents, proposals, often times newly developed and unique to partnership including pricing models

Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
  • Experience building partnerships into the healthcare environment (payers, providers, hospitals/IDN, wellness)
  • 5 years direct partnership experience in a quota-carrying role in the software/technology sector
  • Sophisticated knowledge of the healthcare market including deep understanding for how health plans and health system/delivery networks operation, generate revenue and serve customers/patients/members
  • Track record of success in carrying a quota of $1m at a minimum
  • Proven track record of developing and closing new business including sales cycle management and forecasting in Salesforce
  • Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce.com, and other business software
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximate 50%
Preferred Experience: 
  • MBA, MHA or equivalent highly preferred
  • Experience in SaaS preferred
Minimum Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, healthcare or other related field
  • 5 years direct sales and/or business development experience in a quota-carrying role in the software/technology sector
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles at all organizational levels
  • Track record of success in carrying a quota of $1m at a minimum
  • Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce.com, and other business software
  • Experience selling into the healthcare environment (payers, providers, hospitals/IDN, wellness)
