Description

Assistant Management Accountant duties include:

Assist in producing monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), including variance analysis and commentary

Perform balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings (accruals, prepayments)

Review purchase invoice postings for accurate nominal coding

Support in preparing quarterly VAT returns

Participate in finance projects and continuous process improvements

Provide data analysis and reporting to support commercial decisions

Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting processes

Assist with statutory accounts, audits and tax queries

Review and improve accounting procedures for increased efficiency

Conduct financial analysis to aid profitability and strategic growth

Profile

Currently studying towards or looking to begin a qualification in AAT, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent)

Advanced Excel skills - including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas

Experience using Sage 200 or similar accounting software is desirable

Excellent organisation and time-management skills

Ability to prioritise under pressure in a fast-moving environment

Proactive mindset and ability to take initiative

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the business

Experience with stock and multi-currency/forex transactions is a plus

Job Offer

A salary up to £37,000 depending on experience.
