We are hiring a Bookkeeper with experience in Xero, VAT returns, and day-to-day bookkeeping. This is a hands-on, office-based role supporting a growing accountancy practice with a varied client portfolio.

This position is ideal for someone with solid transactional bookkeeping experience who is looking to build their skills within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain bookkeeping records for the firm's portfolio of clients

* Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations

* Preparing accounts to trial balance

* Liaise with clients to resolve basic queries

* Provide general support to senior accountants

Requirements

* 1-3 years' experience in a bookkeeping role

* Experience using Xero, QuickBooks or similar accounting software

* Good understanding of debits and credits

* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Desirable (but not essential)

* Bookkeeping or AAT qualification (or studying towards)

* Experience working in an accountancy practice

* Exposure to VAT returns
