Manufacturing company in Van Nuys is looking for a Sr. System/Electronic Design Engineer on a perm placement basis. This position will be responsible for design, analyze, debug and modify embedded military electronics. Work often involves analog and digital embedded hardware. Position requires knowledge of an exposure to firmware and software designs. Must have excellent leadership and teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and clients. Have the ability to perform hands-on tests and debug electronic systems and work with a team to resolve technical challenges. Create circuit simulation schematics (OrCAD or PADS preferred), including part selection. Perform circuit simulation and analyses (LTSpice or ModelSim) and apply component derating. Generate PCB layout guidelines for PCB artwork generation. Strong Written and Verbal English language communication skill.
Looking for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of related experience in military embedded electronic design. This position will require sitting and operating a computer for extended periods of time. Standing, walking and climbing to inspect equipment and will be utilizing hand tools.
