Role Overview:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out a mixture of local and distance work to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) across the UK.

Hours & Shift Patterns:

• Shifts available between Thursday - Monday which can be tailored to fit your availability
• All Start Times available from 0200 - 2300
• Work between 1 and 5 shifts depending on your availability

Pay:

• Saturday: £18.49 per hour Sunday: £19.61 per hour
• Rates are PAYE and include holiday pay

Duties:

• Driving a HGV Class 1 vehicle with curtainsided trailers
• Carrying out general haulage work to RDCs across the UK
• Completing a mixture of local and distance work depending on the run
• Strapping and securing loads (no loading or unloading required)
• Completing daily vehicle checks and managing your driving hours

Skills & Experience:

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence, CPC, and Digi card
• At least 1 year of HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 points for minor endorsements
• Experience with curtainsided trailers and the ability to check and secure loads
