Vivid Healthcare are looking for an experienced Band 8b Infection Control Lead in Blackpool.

Pay: Up to £60 per hour***

Position Details:

The post-holder has a key strategic and operational role in supporting the patient safety, governance and quality agenda. The post holder is responsible and accountable for the development, implementation and on-going compliance monitoring of clinical standards of care related directly to the Health and Social Care Act 2008: code of practice on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance.

This includes leading policy making, driving audit programmes and sharing findings to further improve practices. Reporting progress both internally and externally is a key function of the role. The Head Infection Prevention Nurse line manages the Trust’s Infection Prevention Nursing Team to ensure the delivery of an optimum level of service to the Trust. This includes the preparation of an annual programme and work plan.

The Head Nurse plays a major role in the achievement of the Trust’s objectives through delivering of short and long-term goals. The Head Nurse sets high standards, leads by example and acts in an advisory capacity for other senior leaders across the organisation.

To be successful for this role, you must be a fully qualified nurse with a minimum of 6 months recent experience within a UK based hospital.
