We have partnered with a leading private hospital organisation offering care across a range of medical and surgical interventions. We are actively recruiting for a Senior Paediatric Nurse to work in the Urgent Care facility of the hospital supporting paediatric patients with minor injuries, illnesses, and accidents.


Reporting into the manager of the department working as a Senior Paediatric Urgent Care Nurse you will be responsible for ensuring the right standard of care is always provided to your patients. Your responsibility will over all aspects of acute patient care, development, implementation, and evaluation, working alongside the multi-disciplinary teams within the unit. You will assess and triage paediatric patients appropriately and you will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly. Part of your role as a Senior Paediatric Urgent Care Nurse will involve ensuring that examination rooms are fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment and administering medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards. You will be responsible for ensuring all treatment is full documented in the patient files and advising patients families about the treatment provided and on maintenance of health and wellness. As a Senior member of the team, you will be in chart of the shifts and supervise all junior members of staff whilst also being required to deputise for Sisters and Managers in their absence.


Registered RCN with NMC pin number
Experience of working in paediatrics across acute hospital settings, previous urgent care experience is advantageous however nursing with a background in A&E or ICU will also be considered
Be competent in IV, Phlebotomy, and Cannulation
Have the ability to work as part of a team and be a good team leader and lead by example
Be a caring and compassionate nurse with a strong attention to detail
