Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to work 1:1 with a young person (currently in Year 9) currently not attending school, supporting their learning in Maths and English and helping them gradually reintegrate into the classroom environment.

As an SEN Tutor you will:

Provide tailored 1:1 tuition in Maths and English
Support the emotional and academic development of a young person with additional needs
Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure a smooth transition back into education
Deliver engaging, creative, and flexible sessions that meet the learner's individual needs
Complete weekly reports and attendance for the young personAbout you:

Experience working with young people in UK schools
Experience of working with learners with SEN, SEMH needs, EBSA, physical/ emotional dysregulation and implimenting deescalation stratergies.
Calm, nurturing, energetic and positive
Strong understanding of safeguarding practices
Knowledge of the national curriculumPosition - SEN Tutor

Hours - 15 Hours per week- for the right candidate, this can be increased to full time.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL

Experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
