The Role
The Purchase Ledger Clerk will report into the Finance Manager. The role works within a larger team, of already strong Purchase Ledger professional's.
The key components of the role will be:
- Manage a high volume of Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at all times
- Perform daily bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies promptly
- Carry out three-way PO matching (purchase order, invoice, and delivery note) to ensure correct processing of invoices
- Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Maintain and reconcile supplier accounts, building strong relationships and resolving queries efficiently
- Support the wider finance function with ad hoc duties as required
