Salary: £14 - £17/hour uncapped commission

Support Worker - Youth Care
Location: Clevedon, North Somerset
Pay Rates: £14.00 Training Rate, Once fully trained Rate £15.00, Waking Nights Rate £16.00, Weekend Rate is £17.00 and Bank Holiday is double time.

Hours: Full-Time 37.5 hours or Part Time.

12.5 Shifts working hours: Day 06:45-19:15, Nights 18:45-07:15

Expected to work a mixture of days, nights, weekends and some bank holidays

We are looking for a Support Worker to join our clients team and provide high-quality clinical care and support for a young man.

About the Role;

As a Support Worker, you will help care for this individual with clinical support, all daily tasks, personal care, and social activities in a dignified manner. Your role will be crucial in empowering the individual to reach his full potential and enhance his quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide holistic person centred personal care and complex clinical support tailored to this young person's needs, accompanied to hospital appointments.

· Assist with daily living activities including School/College, outings.

·Access the community and engage in social activities/holidays

·Promote choice in a safe and supportive environment, learning how to interpret his communication

·Maintain accurate records and follow care plans

·Work collaboratively with the young person's family, healthcare professionals, and colleagues

About You

We are looking for someone who is:
Caring and empathetic - with a genuine desire to support others
Reliable and patient - ensuring individuals receive consistent and quality care
Good at communication - both verbal and written
Flexible - able to work shifts, including days (06:45-19:15), nights (18:45-07:15) and some bank holidays

Requirements

· Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential - full training provided

· A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential

· A driving licence and own a vehicle to get to work is essential.

* Willing to drive the Motability vehicle-VW transporter medium wheelbase is essential

· Must pass an enhanced DBS check
