Yard Operative£12.50-£16.25 per hourMonday to FridayAbingdonPermanentWe are currently recruiting for a yard staff member to join a company in Abingdon.The Yard Operative role will entail the following:Cleaning equipment using a mechanised wash plantCarrying out repairs to damaged equipmentKeeping the yard area tidyHaving the flexibility to work as drivers mate and visit sites with drivers to install or recover equipment from locations across the UKThe successful Yard Operative will be:Reliable and trustworthyAble to work as part of a team or on your own when requiredAble to work under own initiativeHave the ability to work away from home if the requirement arisesAble to adhere to strict health and safety working practicesYard Operatives have the possibility to be trained on a vehicle mounted crane with a grab attachment so therefore must be willing to adapt and learn new skills.Working days are Monday to Friday.Hours of work are 06:00am-16:00pm with a 45-minute break.The applicant needs to be flexible in their approach to working hours as overtime may be available, which is paid at an enhanced hourly rate.Due to the location of the client, own transport is preferred as there is no public transport in the local area.For more information speak to Stephen in the Pertemps Didcot branch.
