Legionella Risk Assessor - Birmingham

We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established Environmental Consultancy that's growing fast and now looking for an ambitious, motivated and experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join their team. Role Overview:

As a Legionella Consultant Risk Assessor, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding public health by delivering expert Legionella Risk Assessments across diverse environments- from commercial buildings and universities to healthcare and government sites. This is a client-facing, dynamic position with national travel involved, based from a Midlands hub.

You won't just assess risks- you'll become a trusted advisor to clients, help shape internal best practice and assit with leading the department.

Key Responsibilities

* Delivering comprehensive Legionella Risk Assessments across commercial and public sector sites

* Advising clients on risk mitigation and compliance requirements

* Reviewing assessment reports for clarity and accuracy

* Identifying opportunities for added-value services such as training, monitoring regimes or compliance plans

* Supporting junior team members with mentoring and guidance

* Assisting with internal systems, documentation and process improvements

* Contributing to client training sessions, subject to experience

What We're Looking For

* Minimum of 4 years' experience in Legionella Risk Assessment

* Relevant industry qualifications (City & Guilds, WMSoc or equivalent)

* Strong understanding of ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidance

* Full UK driving licence

* Experience producing compliant technical reports

* Confident communication skills and a customer-first approach

* Proficiency with standard IT systems (Word, Excel, etc.)

* A genuine interest in professional development—for yourself and others
