SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a motivated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist school, supporting children as a SEN Teaching Assistant. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to help pupils achieve their potential while providing personalised support for children with special educational needs (SEN).
About the Role
As a SEN Support Assistant, you will support pupils in the classroom and in small groups, assisting teachers with lesson delivery and SEN-focused strategies. You will play a key role in helping children access the curriculum, develop social and emotional skills, and gain confidence in their learning. This role is based in Greenwich, in a school committed to inclusive education and holistic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEN as a Support Assistant in the classroom and during structured activities.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and personalised learning plans.
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Contribute to ongoing education and training for staff and pupils.
- Observe and report on pupil progress to inform teaching strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to support pupil development.
